While the rich are people too, as fearful as the next guy, the scary part is what the combination of the ever-increasing income disparity and the power of technology that lies in the very few (and rich) hands that portends one possible worst-case scenario that is frightening. If there is power in a thought, then it seems worthwhile to pay attention to what thoughts those in power have. To me, that is what the rich represents, those in power, and why I found this specific story noteworthy. All it takes is for one finger on the button to change the world.
