Timo SalorantaAfter reading this it struck me the first time that because AMP pages are hosted (or cached, however you want to see it) on Google's side, it'See mores effectively turning Google search results into something which much resembles Facebook feed. Which is definitely not a good thing for the future of web.
MailManix - ZenduzI think your article is just a "wishful thinking" and it is designed to attract more new clients for yourself and has nothing to do with "See more;design" emails.
Now let's start by looking at your title: Don't Design Your Emails and ask ourself the following question:
How does not designed email looks like?
The answer is: empty white surface.
So your "not" design email is just designed email.
Now you compare two designed emails end you claim that the Design A (so called non-design design) is better than Design B. Have you try the Design C?
But now imagine that the Design C is exactly the same as Design A (so called non-design design) from the design perspective only "constructed" in the same technique as Design B. In the html code.
What will be than be the result?
With other words, you have excluded from your short analyses the environment in which this two email were preforming.
Let me give you an example: Drag race car en tractor will compete in drag race. Who will win? I guess drag race car.
Now put the same two cars on the muddy corn field and race them. Who will win now? I guess the tractor.
So it is not a ca (designed email) which is the deciding factor but in their performance but the environment.
The email environment is changing slowly (comparing to the web), but it is. Our habits and big companies interest are keeping email environment that it is today, but the "professionally designed email" are the future and not the "non-designed" monsters from the previous century.
We do not have a wooden car running on steam anymore, just electrical self driven vehicles. Sooner or later the same will happend to the email. In fact it is already happening.
And the advice from the crowd wisdom front: Why all "big" companies are sending "designed" emails, regardless of your argument?
